Title of PhD: Incorporation of quantum dots into optoelectronic devices
Supervisors: Paul Mulvaney, Tadahiko Hirai

Christian is a postgraduate student at the University of Melbourne currently undertaking a PhD with Professor Paul Mulvaney.

His research aims to characterize semiconductor quantum dots in the presence of an electromagnetic field. By incorporating these nanocrystals into optoelectronic devices the injection of charge carriers, their transport through the device as well as possible degradation pathways are studied.

Christian hopes to understand how to enhance the device lifetime for purple/blue quantum dot based emitters.
