Thursday 10 September, is R U OK? Day. In Australia, it’s a national day of action when we remind one another that every day is the day to ask, “Are you OK?”.

Grease in Space

Our researchers, Prof Tim Schmidt and his team from UNSW, have collaborated with Ege University researchers to determine the abundance of fat in space, by determining the proportion of grease-like, or aliphatic, molecules in interstellar dust.

ACS on Campus, Melbourne

The American Chemical Society held an ACS on Campus event in for academics and students in Melbourne on 21 July. Presentations gave insights into the publishing industry and careers in chemistry careers. In the afternoon a poster session was held.

National Science Quiz

The ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science was proud to be a sponsor of the National Science Quiz in Melbourne on Sunday 18 June 2017. The quiz featured live demonstrations and curiosity-provoking questions in 90 minutes of science, maths and laughs.
