1. Scientia PhD scholarship, UNSW
We are looking for a science or engineering graduate with a strong background in device fabrication, physics and/or physical chemistry. The successful candidate will make molecular devices. The project will then focus on the characterization of these systems using ultrafast laser spectroscopy and electron spin resonance spectroscopy.
Applications close on 20 July 2018.
2. PhD position upconvertor spectroscopy
We are looking for a suitably qualified graduate student to work on an ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science funded project on upconversion materials. The goal is to generate new materials, which can harness NIR light and emit in the visible with high quantum yield.
Applications close on 9 May 2018.
3. PhD position atomic force microscopy.
We are looking for a suitably qualified graduate student to work on an ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science funded project on nanomechanical sensing. The goal is to use atomic force microscope (AFM) microcantilevers as resonators to detect adsorbed mass, electronic charge or magnetic spins.
Applications close on 31 May 2018.
